Where sub-contractors are a part of the production process the activities performed by the sub-contractor must be controlled. This may require specialist audit by technically competent auditors and this can be provided.

Sub-Contractor Audit for Design Organisations

Design organisations are responsible for all activities that demonstrate compliance with the airworthiness requirements. In the case of a sub-contractor providing support for demonstrating compliance, the design organisation’s responsibilities include the performance of technical audit.

Pre-EASA/National Authority Investigation Audit of Compliance and Handbooks/Expositions

For those organisations that would like to be fully prepared for the audit by the regulatory investigation team a pre-audit of the organisation and procedures may be an advantage in both time and cost. We, as former regulators, are fully aware of the processes used by the investigation team.
